Commercial balustrades must meet 3.0kN/m horizontal loading under BS EN 1991-1-1 and BS6180 — more than four times the 0.74kN/m residential requirement. That difference runs through every component: glass thickness and lamination, fixing method, anchor sizing, and support structure. A residential system in a commercial setting is not compliant and introduces genuine structural risk.
We work with developers, architects, main contractors, and commercial property owners across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and the wider East Midlands. Every system is designed and installed to current standards, with full compliance documentation — load calculations, fixing specs, system details — provided for Building Control and project teams as standard.
Send us your project details. We'll confirm the correct compliant system, provide a budget estimate, and supply documentation suitable for Building Control and your project team — before any site visit or commitment.
Commercial-grade glass Juliet balconies designed for multi-occupancy buildings and public-facing developments. All systems are engineered to meet 3.0kN/m loading requirements, making them suitable for apartments, hotels, and commercial properties where safety and compliance are critical.

Frameless systems provide a clean, uninterrupted finish while still meeting strict commercial loading requirements. Commonly used in offices, retail environments, mezzanines, and atrium spaces where visibility and light flow are important.
Framed post-and-rail systems provide a more structured solution, combining glass panels with stainless steel or powder-coated aluminium frameworks. Highly adaptable and suited to a wide range of commercial environments.

We design, manufacture, and install fully bespoke commercial staircases — from contemporary glass and steel systems to traditional timber configurations for hotels and heritage buildings. All staircase balustrades are specified to meet the required loading standards for the building's occupancy.
