Official supply and installation of Balconnette glass balustrade systems — Orbit and Aerofoil. UK manufactured, supplied cut to size, installed by our own team across the East Midlands.
Balconnette manufacture their glass balustrade systems at their UK facility in Surrey, engineering each product to span as far as possible without vertical posts. The result is a cleaner, more open installation — less interruption to the view from inside or outside, and fewer fixings into the structure below.
We are an official approved supplier and installer of the Balconnette range. That means a direct supply route to their products, correct specification from the outset, and a local East Midlands team that handles the full job — measurement, order, and installation — as a complete service.
Balconnette offer two main balustrade system families. Each has a different structural approach and visual character — from a classic circular handrail to a sleek wing-profile aerofoil design.
The Orbit system uses a 70mm diameter circular aluminium handrail with an internal channel and bracing support — a classic round profile that provides excellent rigidity across long runs. Horizontal spans of up to 3,300mm are achievable without additional upright posts, and corners do not require posts either.
The familiar round handrail profile suits a wide range of settings — from traditional domestic terraces and decking areas to contemporary commercial balcony edges. Where posts are required, Balconnette offer 55mm circular post profiles to match the handrail, as well as square newel post options for staircase and privacy screen applications.
The Aerofoil system uses a wing-shaped (aerofoil profile) aluminium handrail — the shape is engineered specifically to maximise rigidity across wide spans while providing a comfortable, flat surface to lean on. The result is a system that achieves greater spans than the Orbit, with a more contemporary and architectural character.
The aerofoil profile resists bending and twisting along its full length, allowing very long runs between posts. This makes it particularly suitable for large terrace edges, roof gardens, and commercial balcony installations where a clean, low-post result is essential.
Every Balconnette system is supplied cut to your exact measurements and fully fabricated — no on-site cutting or fabrication required. Components arrive ready to assemble and install, which reduces installation time and the risk of errors on site.
All systems are designed and manufactured at Balconnette's own UK facility — not imported. This means consistent product quality, reliable lead times, and full accountability at every stage from design to delivery.
Handrails are anodised aluminium — a material that is more corrosion-resistant than marine-grade stainless steel and significantly lighter. No rust, no pitting, no ongoing maintenance. The anodised finish does not degrade in external conditions.
Balconnette provide structural calculations and fire classification evidence packs for their systems — documentation that many Building Control applications require. We can provide this as part of your project if needed.
Available in Royal Chrome (anodised), Silver (anodised), RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey (powder coated), and RAL 9005 Jet Black (powder coated). Most standard door frame and architectural metalwork colour schemes are covered.
We cover Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and surrounding areas. Survey, order management, and installation are all handled by our own team — not subcontracted.
We are an official approved supplier and installer of Balconnette systems across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and the East Midlands. Tell us your run length and we can price it the same day.
